I have been feeding my friends and neighbours cats for years alongside my other job of teaching sports to children in the local area. I recently decided that I needed a change of career so, here I am, with my own cat feeding business ... Purrfect Feeding.
What gives me the most pleasure when entrusted with your cat(s) is gaining their trust and seeing the difference in them from the first day to the last day. Some people say "they probably won't come to you as they are nervous or shy" and "not to worry if they don't", just "make sure they are fed and watered". I take that as a challenge as all cats deserve some Ruth pampering!
In between my cat visits, I walk dogs with my friend's Mandy and Vanessa who own Fred’s Friends DogCare.
My name is Ruth and I have loved cats all my life. Unfortunately my mum didn't share the same sentiment so I wasn't able to have cats when I was a little girl. Instead, we were allowed goldfish and Tom (and my brother's Fred) lived for a very long time. When I was in my early teens, a stray tortoiseshell cat came visiting and I sneaked her in through the upstairs bathroom window and she slept on my bed and became a member of the family .. her name was Misty. Since then, cats have featured in my life ... Lister, a soppy tabby who came from Cats Protection; Tinky, a feisty young feline who we got from the cattery at Battersea Dogs Home; Smudge and Cookie were chosen from Woking Cats Protection (Smudge went to kitty heaven early due to being knocked down) and Sooty arrived on our doorstep with a hurt paw and has stayed ever since.
